Review Process Policy
Journal Integration of Management Studies (JIMS) applies an editorial assessment and peer-review process to evaluate the scholarly quality, originality, methodological rigor, and relevance of submitted manuscripts.
1. Initial Editorial Screening
Each submission undergoes an initial assessment by the editorial team to determine its alignment with the journal's scope, originality, academic quality, ethical requirements, and compliance with the Author Guidelines.
Manuscripts that do not meet the journal's requirements may be returned for improvement or declined without external peer review.
2. Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are evaluated by qualified reviewers with expertise relevant to the submitted research.
Reviewers assess the manuscript's theoretical contribution, research design, methodological appropriateness, analysis, interpretation, originality, and clarity of presentation.
Reviewers must maintain confidentiality, disclose potential conflicts of interest, and provide objective, constructive, and evidence-based assessments.
3. Revision Process
Authors may be requested to revise their manuscripts in response to reviewers' and editors' comments.
Revised submissions should include a clear response explaining how each substantive comment has been addressed. Additional review may be conducted when necessary.
4. Editorial Decision
Editorial decisions are made by the authorized editor based on peer-review reports, scholarly merit, journal scope, and publication ethics considerations.
Possible decisions include acceptance, revision, or rejection. A recommendation from a reviewer does not automatically determine the final editorial decision.
5. Fairness and Confidentiality
JIMS is committed to fair, independent, and confidential manuscript evaluation. Editorial decisions must not be influenced by authors' institutional affiliations, personal relationships, or other irrelevant considerations.
Editors and reviewers must comply with the journal's Conflict of Interest, Publication Ethics, and AI Tool Policies.
6. Appeals and Complaints
Authors may submit a reasoned appeal concerning an editorial decision through the journal's official contact channels.
Appeals will be assessed based on the available editorial records and supporting information. An appeal does not guarantee reconsideration or acceptance.
