Manuscript Types
Journal Integration of Management Studies (JIMS) welcomes scholarly manuscripts that contribute to theoretical advancement, empirical understanding, and managerial practice in management and business studies.
The journal considers the following manuscript types:
1. Original Research Article
Reports original empirical research employing quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods approaches. Manuscripts should present a clear research problem, theoretical foundation, rigorous methodology, findings, and discussion of their contributions to management knowledge and practice.
2. Review Article
Provides a critical synthesis of existing scholarly literature to identify theoretical developments, research patterns, knowledge gaps, and directions for future research.
Systematic literature reviews, bibliometric analyses, scoping reviews, and integrative reviews are welcome when supported by transparent and appropriate methodological procedures.
3. Conceptual Paper
Develops, refines, or critically examines theories, models, frameworks, or propositions relevant to management and business studies.
Conceptual papers should demonstrate strong theoretical reasoning, engagement with relevant literature, and a clearly articulated scholarly contribution.
4. Research-Based Case Study
Presents an in-depth investigation of an organization, business, industry, or managerial phenomenon using a systematic research approach.
Case studies must move beyond descriptive reporting by providing analytical insights, theoretical relevance, and transferable implications for management research or practice.
