Journal Integration of Management Studies (JIMS) is committed to academic integrity, originality, and ethical scholarly publishing. Plagiarism, improper attribution, and misleading reuse of previously published work are not acceptable.

1. Originality and Author Responsibilities

Authors must submit original manuscripts that properly acknowledge the ideas, words, data, and findings of others. All quotations, paraphrases, and borrowed materials must be appropriately cited.

Authors must disclose any substantial overlap with their previous publications and must not submit the same manuscript simultaneously to another journal.

2. Plagiarism Screening

JIMS may use similarity-checking software and editorial assessment to identify potential plagiarism, inappropriate text reuse, and substantial overlap with existing publications.

Similarity reports are evaluated by editors in context. A similarity percentage alone does not establish plagiarism or determine manuscript acceptance.

3. Unacceptable Practices

  • Copying text, ideas, or research findings without proper attribution.
  • Inadequate paraphrasing or misleading citation.
  • Presenting another person's work as one's own.
  • Undisclosed substantial reuse of previously published material.
  • Duplicate publication or submission without appropriate disclosure.

4. Editorial Actions

When potential plagiarism is identified, the editorial team may request clarification, source documentation, or manuscript revision.

Serious or unresolved violations may result in manuscript rejection. Concerns identified after publication may lead to a correction, retraction, or other appropriate editorial action following an investigation.

Authors will be given a reasonable opportunity to respond to allegations before an editorial determination is made.

5. Ethical Guidance

JIMS follows the principles of publication integrity and fair editorial investigation reflected in guidance from the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) .
