1. Scope and Manuscript Types

Manuscripts must align with the journal's Objectives and Scope and demonstrate a clear scholarly contribution.

2. General Manuscript Preparation

• Language: English.
• File: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx).
• Page: A4, single-column layout.
• Body: Times New Roman, 11 pt, justified, 1.15 line spacing.
• Margins: Top 3 cm, bottom 3.5 cm, left and right 2.75 cm.
• References: APA 7th edition.

Do not insert final pagination, volume, issue, publication date, or DOI information.

3. Title and Author Information

• Title: Times New Roman, 14 pt, bold, centered, Title Case; preferably 10–18 words.
• Authors: Provide full names and institutional affiliations.
• Correspondence: Identify one corresponding author and email address.
• ORCID: Encouraged for all authors.
• Authorship: Must comply with the JIMS Authorship Criteria.

4. Abstract and Keywords

• Abstract: 150–250 words covering purpose, methods, findings, and contribution.
• Keywords: 3–6 relevant terms.

5. Manuscript Structure

Original Research Articles should include:

• Introduction: Context, problem, research gap, objectives, and contribution.
• Literature Review: Theory, prior research, framework, and hypotheses if relevant.
• Methods: Design, sampling, data collection, and analytical procedures.
• Results: Findings supported by appropriate evidence.
• Discussion: Interpretation, theoretical and practical implications.
• Conclusions: Main conclusions, limitations, and future research directions.

Other manuscript types may use an appropriate alternative structure while maintaining methodological and scholarly rigor.

6. Tables and Figures

• Number and cite all tables and figures in the text.
• Place table titles above tables and figure captions below figures.
• Use legible graphics and clean table layouts.
• Provide sources, attribution, and permissions when required.

7. Citations and References

• Use APA 7th edition for citations and references.
• Ensure every in-text citation appears in the reference list.
• Verify publication details, URLs, and DOIs.
• Prioritize credible and relevant scholarly sources.

8. Research Ethics and Declarations

Include the following statements where applicable:

• Author Contributions
• Funding Statement
• Conflict of Interest Declaration
• Research Ethics and Informed Consent
• Data Availability Statement
• Acknowledgments
• Generative AI Use Declaration

AI tools cannot be named as authors. Disclose substantive generative AI assistance according to the JIMS AI Tool Policy.

9. Submission and Peer Review

• Submit manuscripts through the JIMS OJS platform.
• Complete all required author and manuscript metadata.
• Upload the manuscript and supporting documents.
• Respond to editorial and reviewer comments when revisions are requested.
• All submissions are subject to editorial screening and peer review.

10. Copyright and Publication Fees

• Authors retain copyright and grant JIMS the right of first publication.
• Submission Fee: IDR 0.
