Correction and Retraction
Journal Integration of Management Studies (JIMS) is committed to maintaining an accurate, transparent, and trustworthy scholarly record. When significant errors or concerns arise after publication, the journal will take appropriate action to correct the literature and inform readers.
1. Corrections
A correction may be issued when an article contains an error that requires clarification but does not invalidate its main findings or conclusions.
Corrections will clearly identify the original article, describe the error and its correction, and be linked to the published article. The publication record will remain transparent.
2. Retractions
An article may be retracted when its findings or conclusions are unreliable, or when serious publication integrity issues make continued reliance on the work inappropriate.
Grounds for retraction may include major research errors, fabrication or falsification of data, plagiarism, unethical research, or substantial redundant publication.
Retraction notices will state the reasons for the decision and identify the retracted article. Retracted articles will ordinarily remain accessible, clearly marked as RETRACTED, to preserve the scholarly record.
3. Expressions of Concern
JIMS may publish an Expression of Concern when serious questions about a published article remain unresolved and readers should be informed while further assessment or investigation is ongoing.
The notice will be reviewed when additional evidence becomes available and may be followed by a correction, retraction, or other appropriate editorial decision.
4. Assessment and Author Response
Concerns may be raised by authors, readers, reviewers, institutions, or other parties through the journal's official contact channels.
The editorial team will assess available evidence, seek clarification where appropriate, and provide affected authors a reasonable opportunity to respond.
JIMS may consult relevant institutions when formal investigation is necessary. The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for determining appropriate editorial action.
5. Publication and Transparency
Corrections, retractions, and expressions of concern will be published as identifiable notices linked to the original articles. Relevant article pages and metadata will be updated where technically supported.
Published content will not normally be removed from the journal website. Removal may be considered only in exceptional circumstances, such as legal requirements, serious privacy concerns, or substantial risks of harm, with an explanatory notice where appropriate.
6. Ethical Guidance
This policy is informed by the COPE Retraction Guidelines and NISO RP-45-2024 (CREC) .
